Psychedelic-Inspired Speakers for Devon Gilfillian's Black Hole Rainbow Album Release Party
Music is our first love here at Leon—it always has been, and it’s why we got into this business in the first place. We started the Leon Loft back in 2013 to connect with music in a new way by opening our doors to the public and sharing the heart of the Leon culture with our community both near and far.
We’ve had over 40 artists take the stage in the past 8 years—incredible musicians from all over the world—but what has been the most amazing thing about the experience is the connections we’ve made that extend beyond the artist’s performance with us.
Devon Gilfillian played the Leon Loft last spring, and when he approached us about being part of his debut album release party in Nashville last month, we were excited for any opportunity to be involved.
We designed a pair of our new Timbre SEVEN Tower speakers to be played at the event featuring a custom psychedelic-themed baffle inspired by Devon’s album title: “Black Hole Rainbow”. The party took place at the Sudek Planetarium in the Adventure Science Center in Nashville, TN with a cocktail hour followed by an immersive listening experience and light show set to the stars—which created the perfect atmosphere to match the vibe of the album.
If you’re not familiar with Devon’s music, we suggest you take a listen. We’ve had his new album on heavy rotation since the day it dropped and we can’t stop listening. Rolling Stone called him “…one of the most exciting young artists in Nashville’s burgeoning soul scene” and we couldn’t agree more. This guy is raw talent and we loved being there in support and celebration.
